Memorials

The durability and permanence of stone stand for eternal life. From blocks of stone we create symbols of life, death and eternity, or individual shapes in memory of loved ones.
We have already made and restored hundreds of memorials. Our long tradition, knowledge and experience stand for careful work that lasts.

Types of memorials

Natural stone memorials stand outdoors and are exposed to very different weather: snow, rain, sun, temperature changes and ground settlement. That is why not every natural stone is suitable. Granite, however, is by no means the only option.

Besides colour and stone type, you can also choose from different finishes: polished, flamed, brushed or honed. Take a look at our wide selection of recommended natural stones.

“Natural stone memorials are a sign of remembrance and respect for our loved ones who have passed away. Natural stone stands for eternity and permanence, which makes it the right choice.”

Natural stone: a sign of permanence

Choose the right memorial

With its durability, a natural stone memorial stands for eternal life. Memorials come in many shapes: classic rounded, modern rectangular, irregular or oval, with special motifs or bevelled edges. The shapes can be standard or individually designed.

Cemeteries rarely prescribe colours. Headstones are most often grey, black, red or white. There are, however, rules on the size and dimensions of headstones and graves, especially in larger towns where cemetery space is limited.

Granite: beauty that lasts

Granite is regarded as an eternal stone, which makes it a very popular natural stone for memorials. It is one of the most versatile natural stones. Thanks to its hardness, quality and durability it can be used for very different purposes.

It is chosen so often for memorials because it needs no special care and is very resistant. Granite is easy to clean and resistant to dirt, impact and heat. Granite memorials usually come in shades of grey, from almost black to almost white.
