Bathroom washbasins
A natural stone or ceramic washbasin combines beauty and function and becomes a distinctive focal point in your bathroom.
Modern, geometric design:
- All parts of the washbasin come from the same slab and are joined to look like one solid piece.
- The concealed trap keeps the focus entirely on this functional piece of furniture.
- The vanity top flows seamlessly into the washbasin, creating one continuous, versatile element.
We make washbasins to measure so they fit your room and your needs exactly.
Vanity tops
The vanity top is the centrepiece of the bathroom. Natural stone or ceramics add an elegant and hard-wearing accent.
Natural stone and ceramics offer many advantages in the bathroom. They not only look beautiful but also create a sense of well-being and add value to your home. They are also durable, versatile, moisture-resistant and easy to care for.
Natural stones (granite, quartzite, marble …) are just as suitable for vanity tops as ceramics.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NATURAL STONE AND CERAMICS
It is hard to generalise about the differences between natural stone and ceramics, because they depend on the stone you choose. In function the two materials are very similar, but they differ on a few points. Here is a comparison by area:
LOOK
- Natural stone offers unique veining and colours, because every slab is one of a kind. A natural stone vanity top or washbasin is therefore unmistakable. Natural crystals and minerals give the material visible depth, from every side.
- Ceramics is very versatile and offers a wide choice of colours, patterns and textures. Ceramic slabs can imitate natural stone, concrete, wood and more. The patterns do repeat, however, which can make them feel less unique. Because the surface is printed, the texture is not visible on the edges or the back.
DURABILITY
- Natural stone: Hard stones (granite, quartzite …) are highly resistant to heat, scratches, impact and stains. Softer stones (marble, limestone …) are more sensitive to scratches and stains, but with the right care you can avoid or reduce the risk. Every natural stone needs an initial sealing, which we carry out in our workshop. How often it needs resealing afterwards depends on the stone.
- Ceramics is hard-wearing and resistant to scratches, stains and heat. Ceramic slabs need no special care, but can be damaged by a very hard blow to an unsupported edge.
PRICE
- Natural stone: Prices vary considerably depending on the type of stone. Natural stone can be cheaper or more expensive than ceramics.
- Ceramics also comes in different price ranges. The price depends on the thickness and format of the slab needed for the design.
FORMATS, THICKNESSES AND FINISHES
- Natural stone: Slab formats vary (up to 180 × 320 cm). Thicknesses of 2 or 3 cm are standard, and thicker slabs are also possible. Any stone can have a polished or brushed finish.
- Ceramics: Slab formats depend on the size you want for the vanity top or washbasin. We work with tiles or large-format slabs (120 × 280 cm at 6 mm thick, or 160 × 320 cm at 12/20 mm thick). Finishes: matt, satin and polished.
