There you choose the right stone with our expert help. Then we come to you, take measurements and advise you on the details. We take your wishes into account, because you should be completely happy with the result.\n\nWe usually use 3 cm thick stone for the tread and 2 cm for the riser. At Marnit , however, we approach every job individually, because every staircase is unique.\n\nEvery tread and riser is made from a single piece, and we have a wide choice of colours and patterns. We are happy to advise you: if the stairwell gets little daylight, we recommend lighter shades.\n\nWe will also show you the different finishes for stone steps: polished, brushed, flamed or sandblasted. On request we finish the edges in various profiles (45° bevelled or half-round) and make sure there is no risk of slipping or injury.
